Dear Scholarship Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in the Frederick Business & Professional Womens Scholarship Program. At the bottom of the page is a link that will take you to the Frederick BPW Scholarship application.   Please complete the entire application and return it to the address below on or before February 13, 2010.  Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

In addition, the following items are necessary to complete your application:

A.                A copy of your recent college transcript; and

B.                Three current letters of reference-two professional and one personal-from individuals not related to you and written after you receive this application, indicating how they are acquainted with you and the reason(s) why they believe you should receive our scholarship.

These documents (A & B), as well as the application are to be sent DIRECTLY FROM THEIR SOURCE TO the following address and must be received by February 13, 2010:

The Scholarship Committee will be awarding funds based on the following criteria:

Female resident of Frederick County, Maryland

Financial need

Professional promise

Academic achievement

Personal qualifications

A committee will be meeting in early February and will notify our recipients thereafter; scholarships will be awarded for the 2010 summer and/or fall semester.  If scheduling permits, we would like the recipients(s) to attend our meeting on Tuesday, March 16, 2010.
